Wall Financial Corporation Reveals Fourth Quarter Fiscal Results for 2024

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Wall Financial Corporation (TSX: WFC) recently released its operating results and financial statements for the three months and year ended January 31, 2024. The company reported net earnings and comprehensive income attributable to shareholders of $22,233,339 or $0.69 per share, compared to $48,206,620 or $1.49 per share in the prior period. This decrease in net earnings was primarily due to a gain on the sale of an investment property in the prior year.

Despite the decrease in net earnings, Wall Financial Corporation saw an overall increase in earnings from operations in the current year. Revenue and income from rental apartment operations increased due to acquisitions of investment properties in the prior year, a decrease in vacancy rates, and increased rents on tenant turnover. The company also experienced growth in revenues and earnings from its hotel operations, thanks to higher occupancy and average daily rates.

However, revenues from the company’s development operations decreased due to fewer condominium sales. The company’s total revenue and other income for the year ended January 31, 2024, was $156,449,544, compared to $144,726,718 in the prior year.

Wall Financial Corporation is a British Columbia-based real estate company involved in the development and management of residential and commercial rental units, residential housing development for resale, and hotel property development and management.
