But for 16-year-old Gianna Clemente, playing the course not once, but twice in tournament play is a remarkable achievement.

The Warren native recently competed in the Augusta National Women’s Amateur and finished tied for fifth after shooting a 1-over 73 in the final round. This marked her second consecutive year making the final round cut at the prestigious event.

Clemente’s performance was a significant improvement from last year, where she finished tied for 14th. Despite a rocky start with three early bogeys in the final round, she managed to finish strong with birdies on the 15th and 16th holes.
