Warren High School senior Kylee Tait, a two-time Ohio state wrestling champion at 155 pounds, made a significant announcement on Tuesday. Tait held a signing ceremony inside the Warrior Coliseum to declare her commitment to continue her wrestling career at Campbellsville University under head coach Lee Miracle.
Tait’s impressive wrestling record includes winning her final 15 matches during her junior year and going undefeated at 55-0 this past winter. She finished her high school career with a record of 124-47, which included competing against boys.
The talented athlete, who started wrestling at a young age due to her older brothers’ influence, expressed her excitement about the next chapter in her wrestling journey. Tait plans to major in criminal justice or social work at Campbellsville University and is grateful for the opportunity to continue her education while pursuing her passion for wrestling.
Despite her success on the mat, Tait remains focused on improving her offensive skills and coachability as she transitions to college wrestling. She credits her high school, Warren High, for preparing her for the challenges ahead.
As Tait prepares to leave her high school wrestling program behind, she reflects on the growth of the girls’ team and looks forward to potentially returning to help with coaching in the future. With less than two weeks of school left, Tait is eager to join the Campbellsville University team and build a new legacy in college wrestling.
