Brainerd Warriors Shine at Alexandria Invite

In a display of skill and determination, the Brainerd Warriors golf team showcased their talent at the Alexandria Invite on Wednesday, April 24. Led by Sophia Karsnia, who carded three birdies and finished in 23rd place with a score of 84, the Warriors secured a respectable 12th place overall.

Madelyn Holmstom also delivered a strong performance, shooting an 89 to claim the 33rd spot. Kiley Jendro followed closely behind with a score of 93, placing her in 43rd position. Marcella Timmons’ score of 99 contributed to Brainerd’s total team score of 365.

The competition was fierce, with Detroit Lakes taking the top spot with a score of 310, followed by Wayzata in second place with 315. Despite the tough competition, the Warriors held their own and showcased their skills on the course.

Individual medalist honors went to Abigail Labrador from St. Michael-Albertville, who finished with an impressive score of 73.

Looking ahead, the Brainerd Warriors are gearing up for the Central Lakes Conference meet at Alexandria Golf Club on Tuesday, April 30 at 3 pm. With their recent success at the Alexandria Invite, the team is poised to continue their strong performance and make their mark in the upcoming competition.
