“The Chosen” Finds New Home on Disney+ and Hulu

Fans of the popular series “The Chosen” can now enjoy the show on new streaming platforms, including Disney+ and Hulu. The series, which follows the life of Jesus and his disciples, has made its way to Disney+ and Hulu with three seasons available for streaming since April 29.

Creator Dallas Jenkins shared the exciting news on social media, stating, “Not exactly a ‘partnership,’ but Seasons 1 to 3 are getting to another new audience.” The move to Disney+ comes as the platform continues to rise in the ranks of streaming royalty.

Despite facing criticism for controversial content, Disney’s decision to add “The Chosen” to its lineup has surprised many. The show, which offers a unique perspective on the life of Jesus Christ, has gained popularity over the years and even debuted its fourth season in theaters nationwide.

Originally funded through crowdfunding, “The Chosen” was distributed by Angel Studios and is now distributed by Lionsgate. Disney’s acquisition of Hulu has opened the door for a wider range of content on the platform, including more mature TV series like “The Chosen.”

The move to Disney+ and Hulu is seen as a strategic decision by Disney to attract conservative subscribers to a platform that also features more adult-oriented projects. “The Chosen” is now available on multiple streaming platforms, including YoutubeTV, Amazon Prime, Peacock, Netflix, and Apple TV.

As fans eagerly await the next season of “The Chosen,” the show’s availability on Disney+ and Hulu is sure to attract a whole new audience to the beloved series.
