A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for multiple regions in Montana, with snow accumulations expected to impact travel conditions from tonight through Sunday night. The advisory covers various mountain ranges and passes, with total snow accumulations ranging from 2 to 10 inches in different areas.

In Yellowstone National Park, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 3PM today through noon Sunday, with snow accumulations of 5 to 10 inches in southwestern portions of the park and 3 to 6 inches elsewhere. Strong winds gusting up to 35 mph are also expected.

Other regions affected by the Winter Weather Advisory include the Southern Clearwater Mountains, West Glacier Region, Bitterroot/Sapphire Mountains, Butte/Blackfoot Region, and more. Snow accumulations of up to 7 inches are forecasted in some areas, with impacts on mountain passes and higher elevations.

As the evening progresses, showers and storms are expected to transition into snow, with lower snow levels leading to accumulating snow in many parts of southwest Montana. Higher valleys may see a dusting of snow, while mountain passes could receive 1 to 4 inches of snow.
