Weaver Takes Home Medalist Title at West Marshall Invite

Sophomore Cody Weaver showcased his golfing prowess at the West Marshall Invitational, shooting a stellar 2-under-par round of 70 to claim the top spot. Weaver’s impressive performance included four birdies and two bogeys on the front nine, followed by two birdies and two bogeys on the back nine, culminating in a 35-35–70 score.

Nevada’s Parker Rodgers secured the runner-up medalist honors with a 1-over 73, leading his team to victory with a total score of 317. PCM closely followed in second place with a score of 318. South Tama also put up a strong showing, finishing in fourth place with a score of 343, while East Marshall and West Marshall secured sixth and tenth place, respectively.

Hunter Polley, a sophomore from West Marshall, clinched third place individually with a commendable round of 75. South Tama’s Daniel Wiese and Kaden Kopsa also made their mark, finishing in ninth and fifteenth place, respectively.

The event was a showcase of talent and determination, with each team and individual player giving their best on the course. The competition was fierce, but in the end, it was Weaver’s exceptional performance that stole the show and earned him the well-deserved medalist honors.
