Northern Colorado senior pitcher Erin Caviness dominated on the mound in a three-game sweep against Weber State, propelling the Bears into first place in the Big Sky standings. Caviness showcased her talent by throwing two complete games and earning a save in the series.

In the first game, Northern Colorado defeated Weber State 9-1 with strong offensive performances, including two home runs. Despite a brief rally by the Wildcats, the Bears maintained control of the game.

The second game was a close battle, with Weber State taking an early lead before Northern Colorado tied the game and secured the win with a crucial RBI groundout. Caviness came in clutch in the final inning, striking out a WSU batter to seal the victory.

In the series finale, Northern Colorado continued their dominance with an 8-0 win, capitalizing on Weber State’s defensive errors. Caviness once again delivered a stellar performance on the mound, shutting down the Wildcats.

With this sweep, Northern Colorado improved to 22-19 overall and claimed the top spot in the conference standings. Weber State, now 17-21, dropped to fourth place.
