Wellcare, the Medicare brand of Centene Corporation, is gearing up to host the 31st annual National Senior Health & Fitness Day on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. This event, taking place across the United States, aims to promote the importance of regular physical activity for older adults and showcase local organizations’ efforts to improve the health of seniors.

More than 100,000 older adults are expected to participate in health and wellness events at 1,000 locations nationwide on this day. Wellcare is the exclusive health plan sponsor in nine states, including Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, New York, South Carolina, and Texas.

Activities at these events will include health fairs, fitness walks, exercise demonstrations, health screenings, and presentations by health and fitness experts for older adults. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn more about Wellcare’s Medicare health plans, which offer affordable healthcare coverage, access to doctors and specialists, coverage for prescription drugs, and extra benefits not covered by Original Medicare.
