The gaming world is abuzz with excitement as Asus gears up to release the revamped version of its popular ROG Ally handheld console. The new model, dubbed the ROG Ally X, promises to address previous shortcomings and bring about major improvements in various aspects.

One of the key highlights of the ROG Ally X is the significant upgrade in battery life, with a larger 80Wh battery pack that is double the size of its predecessor. This enhancement is sure to delight gamers who are constantly on the move and need extended playtime.

In addition to the improved battery life, the ROG Ally X will also feature a boost in RAM capacity, jumping from 16GB to 24GB. Not only that, but the new console will utilize faster LPDDR5X RAM, with speeds increasing from 6400 MT/s to 7500 MT/s, ensuring smoother performance and faster load times.

Furthermore, the design of the ROG Ally X will see some tweaks, including a switch from the ROG XG mobile port to a USB4 Type-C port. These changes, along with a slight increase in weight and thickness, are aimed at enhancing the overall user experience and functionality of the device.

While the official pricing for the ROG Ally X is yet to be announced, leaks suggest a $799 price tag, making it $100 more expensive than the current highest priced model. Despite the higher price point, the upgraded hardware and design improvements are expected to justify the cost and make the ROG Ally X a top contender in the gaming handheld market. Gamers can look forward to the official unveiling of the ROG Ally X on June 2, where more details about the device will be revealed.
