Westchester Tennis Ladder Introduces Women’s Doubles Division

The Westchester Tennis Ladder (WTL) is gearing up for its fifth season, set to launch on May 8th with an exciting new addition – a women-only doubles ladder. With over 300 players participating in last season’s coed ladders, the creators of WTL, Michael Moshan and David Zuckerman, are responding to the demand for a women’s doubles league in the suburbs.

According to Moshan, women’s doubles is a competitive yet social aspect of tennis that appeals to a more casual player. The new doubles ladder aims to support and encourage female tennis players to showcase their skills and enjoy the camaraderie of the sport.

In addition to the women’s doubles ladder, this season will also see an expansion of the Intermediate Ladder to include players at the 3.0 level. This change allows players with varying skill levels to participate and compete in a supportive and friendly environment.

Last year, WTL facilitated over 1,200 matches across Westchester and hosted three end-of-year tournaments, showcasing the talent and dedication of local tennis players. The community created around the ladders has been a source of joy and camaraderie for players looking to connect with others at their skill level.

Players can easily navigate their matches through the WTL app, challenge opponents, and record results. The cost to join the ladder before May 8th is $50 for the season, with a slightly higher fee for mid-season joiners.
