Western Financial Group’s Annual Charity Event Raises Over $100,000 for Local Nonprofits

Western Financial Group’s annual 5km walk has broken records this year, with over 2,000 staff members participating in 150+ locations across Canada to support over 100 local charities. This year’s event marked the most successful in the foundation’s 20-year history.

In Kitchener, Ontario, Western Financial Group team members came together to participate in the company-wide walk, with each staff member contributing to the cause. For every participant, the company donated $50 to local charities, showing their commitment to giving back to the community.

From coast to coast, teams in White Rock, British Columbia, and High River, Alberta, joined in the initiative, showcasing their dedication to supporting local charities. The National Walk saw nearly 90% of Western Financial Group’s team members across Canada coming together to raise funds and awareness for important causes.

With a focus on flexibility and accessibility, this year’s National Walk was held over a week to accommodate different scheduling needs. Teams walked together from their local branches, while remote individuals participated in their own neighborhoods, highlighting the inclusive nature of the event.
