Wexford Home Preserves Wins Major Award for Seville Marmalade
A Co Wexford jam and marmalade company, Wexford Home Preserves, has once again been recognized for its exceptional Seville marmalade. Owned and operated by Laura and Tom Sinnott, the company has won a prestigious award for their Seville marmalade, marking the second time they have received this honor. Additionally, they have achieved the coveted three gold star award in the Great Taste Awards for two consecutive years for the same product.
Tom and Laura’s commitment to quality is evident in their sourcing of organic Seville oranges from the Gospa Citrus fruit farm in Seville. They personally visit the family-run farm to ensure the oranges are hand-picked to maintain their integrity. The couple, along with their children Lila and Robbie, believe in the value of hand-preparing the fruit, despite the time it consumes, as it significantly impacts the quality of their marmalades, jams, relishes, and chutneys.
At Wexford Home Preserves, no artificial preservatives, flavorings, or sweeteners are used in any of their products. Everything is 100% natural, including their homemade pectin derived from the fruit itself. Their marmalades are made in small batches using the traditional open pan boiling method, resulting in a homemade-like consistency.
The team at Wexford Home Preserves recently received gold in the World Marmalade Awards for their Seville Orange Marmalade, along with two silver awards and a bronze award for other marmalade variations. Their Irish Whiskey Marmalade was also commended. Tom and Laura expressed their gratitude to their suppliers and customers for their continued support.
