Meta Verified for WhatsApp Business is now available in India, offering users the ability to add a verified badge and receive impersonation protection. Meta, the parent company of WhatsApp, recently announced the rollout of the Meta Verified program for WhatsApp Business users in India, Brazil, Indonesia, and Colombia. This program, initially launched in September last year for Instagram and Facebook users, is now extended to WhatsApp Business.

With the Meta Verified subscription service, merchants can obtain a verified badge and protection against impersonation by sharing their business details with the company. Verified businesses will also have access to a dedicated WhatsApp channel for marketing purposes. Additionally, users who purchase the subscription can log in to their account from multiple devices and create a custom web page with their business details to share with customers and vendors.

Furthermore, Meta is working on a new feature that will allow people to call WhatsApp Business users using APIs. The company is also developing tools that will enable AI to respond to common questions from users. While Meta plans to charge companies for these features, the pricing details have not been disclosed yet.

The Meta Verified subscription service costs $14 per month and will be expanded to more countries in the near future. This service aims to provide business owners with personalized messaging capabilities, allowing them to send coupon codes, birthday wishes, and product updates to customers. Overall, the Meta Verified program offers enhanced security and marketing opportunities for WhatsApp Business users in India and beyond.
