Wheeling City Launches Series of Free Weekly Summer Entertainment Events | Local News, Sports, Employment

The city of Wheeling is gearing up for a summer full of free outdoor concerts and movies, starting with the kickoff of Waterfront Wednesday at Heritage Port. Classic rock band Vinyl Soul set the stage for a season of live musical acts, with Toe Tappin’ Tuesdays at Warwood’s Garden Park also on the schedule.

The city’s Arts and Cultural Commission will be hosting Centre Market Saturdays, featuring a variety of bands including Billy the Kid & the Regulators. All concerts will begin at 7 p.m., providing a perfect opportunity for residents to enjoy the warm summer evenings.

In addition to the live music, Wheeling will also be hosting movie nights at various locations throughout the city. The first movie on the lineup is “Barbie,” scheduled for June 15 at Heritage Port. Prior to the screening, there will be a “Pink Party” starting at 6 p.m. for attendees to enjoy.
