Wheeling Park High School’s baseball team continues to dominate on the field, extending their winning streak to seven games with a 7-0 victory over East Liverpool. Despite challenging weather conditions, the Patriots showcased their skills and teamwork to secure another impressive win.
Pitchers Ryland Robb, Travis Gump, and Coldin Burkhart delivered a stellar performance on the mound, collectively allowing only six hits and shutting out the opposition. Robb, in particular, stood out with five strong innings, striking out six batters and setting the tone for the game.
Head coach Steve Myers praised his team’s execution of the fundamentals, including solid defense, timely hitting, and smart base running. The Patriots capitalized on East Liverpool’s mistakes and capitalized on key opportunities to score runs.
Offensively, Jared Marsh and Nate Bittinger played crucial roles in driving in runs and setting the pace for the team. Marsh’s exceptional performance at the plate, including three walks, a single, and two stolen bases, helped propel Wheeling Park to victory.
