GOP Senate candidate Royce White is facing scrutiny over campaign finance allegations, but he remains unfazed by the complaint filed against him by the Campaign Legal Center. White, the Minnesota Republican Party-endorsed candidate for U.S. Senate, dismissed the watchdog group as partisan and illegitimate.
The complaint highlights $157,520.60 in potentially personal expenses, including non-itemized check expenditures, wire transfers, limo/car services, nightclub expenses, and a membership to Lifetime Fitness. White defended his expenditures, stating that his FEC filings are incomplete but that the funds were used for campaign services such as videography and marketing.
In an interview with 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS, White provided more detailed paperwork for the non-itemized expenditures and denied any personal benefit from the transfers. He also addressed a $1,200 expense listed for a strip club in Miami, clarifying that it was for catering from the Gold Rush and not a fundraising event.
Despite the controversy, the Minnesota GOP chairman has no plans to rescind White’s endorsement for the Senate race. White’s explanation of the expenses and his assertion that the funds were used for campaign-related services will be further explored in an upcoming interview on “At Issue with Tom Hauser.”
As the campaign finance complaint continues to make headlines, White remains steadfast in his defense, confident that the allegations will not derail his bid for the U.S. Senate. Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story.
