White Sox get good news on injured power hitters Luis Robert Jr. and Yoán Moncada

The Chicago White Sox received some positive news on the injury front, with updates on key players Luis Robert Jr. and Yoán Moncada. General manager Chris Getz provided an optimistic outlook, indicating that Robert could return in May while Moncada may be back sometime after the All-Star break.

Robert has been sidelined with a Grade 2 right hip flexor strain, while Moncada is dealing with a left adductor strain. The team is also missing another key slugger, Eloy Jiménez, who is out with a similar injury.

Despite the setbacks, the White Sox are hopeful for the return of their impactful players. Moncada, who has been limited by injuries in recent seasons, was transferred to the 60-day injured list as part of roster moves that included promoting Zach Remillard and Justin Anderson from Triple-A Charlotte.

In addition to the updates on Robert and Moncada, the team is also looking forward to the return of Jiménez, who is nearing a comeback after his injury on March 31. Manager Pedro Grifol mentioned that Jiménez has been progressing well in his workouts and could be back soon.

Furthermore, the White Sox could see some pitching help with the potential return of Mike Clevinger, a right-hander who re-signed with the team earlier this month. Getz mentioned that Clevinger could join the big league team by the end of April.
