Whoopi Goldberg Reveals She Doesn’t Have Eyebrows: ‘I Don’t Recognize My Face Without Them’

Whoopi Goldberg has been rocking the no-brow look long before it became a TikTok trend in 2022, and the reason behind it is quite surprising. The iconic host of “The View” revealed that she has been without eyebrows for decades after her mother removed them when she was a child.

In a candid conversation with her co-hosts, Whoopi explained, “I had eyebrows as a little kid and you know how men get those bumps? I started to get them on my face so my mother removed them.” She further added, “And so I just keep doing it because I don’t know my face with eyebrows unless I’m working — they put them on and take them off.”

Interestingly, her co-hosts Sara Haines and Ana Navarro admitted that they had never noticed Whoopi’s lack of eyebrows until she pointed it out. Whoopi even shared a funny anecdote about her ex-husband realizing her unique look after years of marriage.

Despite the eyebrow-less look, Whoopi has never tried to conform to Hollywood’s beauty standards. She recently revealed that she lost a significant amount of weight due to taking type 2 diabetes medication. In a conversation with Kelly Clarkson, she shared, “It’s all the weight I’ve lost. I’m doing that wonderful shot that works for folks who need some help and it’s been really good for me.”
