Williamsport entrepreneurs participate in national business event with Congressman Dan Meuser | News

Congressman Dan Meuser and Williamsport small business owners Vince and Selina Pulizzi made headlines as they attended the House Small Business Committee’s “Small Business Showcase” event at the U.S. Capitol Building on May 1. The event, which coincided with National Small Business Week, aimed to give entrepreneurs a platform to highlight their businesses and discuss political issues affecting them.

Labels by Pulizzi, a family-owned custom printing company in Williamsport, was one of the fifteen businesses invited to participate in the showcase. Established in 1968, Labels by Pulizzi has been a staple in Lycoming County, employing 32 people and providing clients with over a billion custom labels.

Congressman Meuser emphasized the importance of small businesses in the American economy, stating, “Small businesses are the heart of the American economy and the foundation of our communities.” He also highlighted the challenges faced by entrepreneurs and pledged to advocate for pro-growth initiatives that benefit small businesses.

The Pulizzis, as third-generation owners of Labels by Pulizzi, expressed their gratitude for Congressman Meuser’s efforts in supporting small businesses. They acknowledged the current economic climate and stressed the importance of collaboration between business owners and government leaders to drive positive change.

National Small Business Week, sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration for the past 60 years, aims to recognize the vital contributions of entrepreneurs and small business owners to the nation’s economy. The event served as a platform for showcasing the resilience and innovation of small businesses in America.
