Willoughby Candy Cloud is Ohio’s First Location

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Rick and Clarissa Standing took a leap of faith last year that has led them to become the first franchise owners of Candy Cloud in Ohio. Located at 36299 Euclid Ave. in Willoughby, Candy Cloud offers canned-to-order specialty coffee, tea, lemonade drinks, customizable shakes, and boba (tapioca pearls).

The business features monthly themed drinks like mint cookies n’ cream shake, baklava shaken espresso, and matcha marshmallow charm ube. The Standings, inspired by their desire to own a business that involved their family, found Candy Cloud through the Veteranpreneur organization.

Since opening two months ago, the response from the community has been overwhelming, with lines out the door and positive feedback. The Standings have hired more employees and are looking to expand to other locations in Ohio and potentially out of state.

Rick, a veteran, sees Candy Cloud as an opportunity to mentor and develop young employees in the community. The business has brought the couple closer together and has provided a welcoming and trendy hangout spot for customers of all ages.

With plans to introduce food options and potentially open more locations, the Standings are excited about the future of Candy Cloud. The business’s success has not only brought joy to the Standings but has also attracted interest from others looking to invest in the franchise.
