The Brand & Lifestyle Licensing Awards 2024 celebrated the best in the industry, with 400 retailers, licensees, and brand owners coming together to honor the winners of various categories. Hosted by Cally Beaton, the event was a night of glamour and recognition for those who have excelled in the world of brand licensing.
The evening kicked off with a captivating speech by fashion designer Jeff Banks, who shared the story of how he transformed his brand into a household name. His humble beginnings resonated with the audience, setting the tone for an inspiring night ahead. One of the highlights of the evening was the presentation of the Brand Ambassador Award to Louise French, svp of business development and operations at Beanstalk. Her dedication and contribution to the dynamic sector were recognized and celebrated by her peers.
The winners of the B&LLAs 2024 spanned across various categories, showcasing the diversity and innovation within the industry. From rising stars to established brands, each winner represented the best of brand licensing in their respective fields.
Oliver Gilding, head of licensing and innovation for Iceland, took home the Rising Star Award, sponsored by Licensing International. His innovative approach to licensing and branding caught the attention of the judges, earning him this prestigious accolade.
In the product award categories, standout winners included the Mr Potato Head Collection from Anya Hindmarch for Best Brand Licensed Fashion Accessories or Lifestyle Product or Range, and the Nadiya x Schwartz Recipe Kits and Seasonings from McCormack & Company for Best Brand Licensed Food or Beverage Product or Range.
Other notable winners included the Hawaiian Tropic Tropi-cool Cooling Mists Collection from Designer Parfums for Best Brand Licensed Health & Beauty Product or Range, and the Laura Ashley SS23 Collection for Mamas & Papas for Best Brand Licensed Children’s Product or Range.
The retail awards categories recognized the best retailers of licensed brands, with Primark taking home the award for Best Fashion Retailer of Licensed Brands, and Boots winning Best Department Store or Mixed Retailer of Licensed Brands.
In the DFS Property Award categories, brands such as Van Gogh Museum, House Beautiful, and Laura Ashley were honored for their contributions to the industry. The Best Licensed Heritage or Institution Brand went to Van Gogh Museum, while House Beautiful was recognized as the Best Licensed Lifestyle Brand.
