Winners of the Canadian Screen Awards in Documentary, Factual, Lifestyle, and Reality Categories

The 2024 Canadian Screen Award winners in the Documentary, Factual, Lifestyle, and Reality categories were announced on Thursday afternoon, showcasing the best talent in Canadian television. Marilyn Denis, known for her work on CTV’s The Marilyn Denis Show, was awarded Best Host, Talk Show or Entertainment News, while the show itself won Best Talk Series. John Keffer took home the award for Best Direction in Lifestyle or Information for the episode “Final Farewell.”

Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. The World was the big winner of the night, securing six awards, including Best Host or Presenter, Factual, Reality/Competition for Brooke Lynn Hytes, Brad Goreski, and Traci Melchor. The Prime Video feature documentary “Mr. Dressup: The Magic of Make-Believe” also received five awards, while Citytv’s Black Community Mixtapes and Crave’s docuseries Thunder Bay were also recognized in multiple categories.
