Nicole Brown Simpson’s three sisters, Denise, Dominique, and Tanya Brown, have opened up about their feelings following the death of O.J. Simpson. More than a month after O.J. passed away from cancer at the age of 76, the sisters sat down with People to share their thoughts on the former brother-in-law.

“It’s very difficult,” Dominique told the outlet. “This is a person who’s been in our life for a very long time, who wreaked havoc on our family. It’s like the end of a chapter,” added Tanya.

O.J.’s family confirmed the news of his passing last month, stating, “On April 10th, our father, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. During this time of transition, his family asks that you please respect their wishes for privacy and grace.”

Reflecting on Nicole’s relationship with O.J., Denise and Dominique recalled the turbulent times they witnessed. From O.J.’s outbursts to the alleged mistreatment of Nicole, the sisters shared heartbreaking details of the couple’s troubled history.

Despite the tragic ending, the Brown sisters are choosing to remember the period of peace Nicole experienced after her split from O.J. in 1992. They are planning to honor her life and tragic death in a new Lifetime special, “The Life & Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson,” airing on the thirtieth anniversary of her passing. The special will feature interviews with 50 individuals, including Nicole’s sisters, as well as never-before-seen footage of her life.

As they prepare to share Nicole’s story with the world, the Brown sisters are finding solace in celebrating the moments of joy their sister experienced before her untimely death.
