Wonder Works to Launch New Retail Store in Charleston, SC in Late June 2024

Wonder Works, a popular local store in Charleston, SC, is set to open a third retail location in West Ashley late June 2024. The new store, located at 1662 Savannah Highway, will occupy over 2500 sq. ft. and is the former location of Ellifox Children’s Clothing Store.

Owner Elizabeth Royall Darby expressed her excitement about returning to West Ashley after over 25 years of operation in the area. The decision to open a new store in West Ashley was driven by the high demand for a specialty store in that part of town. The store will offer a wide range of products including active play toys, games, gifts, books, and gadgets from popular national brands like Lego, Jellycat, Squishmallows, and more.

Darby shared that the opportunity to open the new store came about when the owner of Ellifox suggested Wonder Works as a tenant. The location was deemed ideal due to its previous use as a children’s store and its proximity to other popular establishments in the shopping center.

The West Ashley store will feature a soft opening in June followed by an official grand opening in July. The store will be open seven days a week and will offer complimentary gift wrapping and birthday bins. With a loyal and knowledgeable staff, Wonder Works is looking forward to providing a unique and engaging shopping experience for customers in West Ashley.
