WPXI reports that Pittsburgh-area high schools have been ranked highly in the U.S. News & World Report’s list of the best high schools in Pennsylvania.

Several Pittsburgh-area high schools have been recognized for their excellence in education by U.S. News & World Report’s list of Best Pennsylvania High Schools. The rankings were based on six indicators of school quality, including student performance on state tests in math, reading, and science, as well as graduation rates and college-level exam scores.

Out of the 740 public high schools in Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh-area schools stood out with two schools in the top 10 and seven in the top 20. Schools like Pittsburgh CAPA 6-12, Upper St. Clair High School, and Peters Township High School were among the top-ranked schools in the state.

Other notable Pittsburgh-area schools that made the list include Pine-Richland High School, Fox Chapel Area High School, and Mt. Lebanon High School. These schools demonstrated exceptional outcomes for their students and were recognized for their commitment to academic excellence.
