Xbox Cloud Gaming adds mouse and keyboard support for Quake 2, State of Decay 2, and more

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Microsoft has expanded its mouse and keyboard support for Xbox Cloud Gaming, adding more games to the list of titles that now support these controls. The latest batch of games includes popular titles like Quake 2 Remastered and State of Decay 2, as well as others such as Cities: Skylines – Mayor’s Edition, The Sims 4, and Valheim (Game Preview).

This update comes after Microsoft initially introduced mouse and keyboard support for Xbox Cloud Gaming a few weeks ago, with games like Fortnite and Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition being among the first to receive this feature. To access Xbox Cloud Gaming, players need to be subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and have a compatible device like an Android or iOS device, a Windows PC, or an Xbox console.

Looking ahead, Microsoft has plans to further enhance Xbox Cloud Gaming, with CEO Phil Spencer stating that players will soon be able to stream games they own without needing a Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Additionally, there are expectations for more games to be added to the list of titles that support mouse and keyboard input over the cloud in the coming months.

Overall, this expansion of mouse and keyboard support for Xbox Cloud Gaming is a positive step towards providing players with more options and flexibility when it comes to gaming on the cloud. It will be interesting to see how Microsoft continues to innovate and improve the Xbox Cloud Gaming experience in the future.
