Yew Chung International School provides expert early childhood education to the community

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Yew Chung International School (YCIS) has launched a series of initiatives aimed at empowering parents and fostering children’s development in the community. The sessions, which began in April, provide valuable insights on how best to support children in achieving key learning milestones.

The “Empowering Parents” workshops bring in professional advice from early childhood education experts to equip parents with the tools and knowledge needed to navigate the journey of raising a child. Topics covered range from sensory play and introducing phonics to positive parenting and guiding young children with confidence.

Another initiative, Community Play, sees YCIS ECE opening its campus in Tseung Kwan O to the public. Families can enjoy the child-friendly facilities and engage in sensory experiences in the spacious 20,000 square feet campus.

The Yew Chung Home-School-Community HKJC “CoolPlay” Project aims to benefit young children by providing opportunities to explore STEM and empowering teachers and parents to guide them in learning through play. The project has already benefited over 2,000 children and aims to reach up to 50,000 in the latest phase.

By fostering collaboration between educators, parents, and the community, YCIS aims to create a supportive ecosystem and inspire a love for learning among children. The school’s commitment to inspiring future leaders extends beyond its boundaries and into the wider community, contributing to the betterment of Hong Kong.

Details of upcoming workshops and community play sessions are available for parents and children to participate in, further enhancing the learning and development opportunities provided by Yew Chung International School.
