The highly anticipated biographical sports drama film, “Maidaan,” is set to hit theatres on April 10. Starring Ajay Devgn, Priyamani, and Gajraj Rao, the film follows the life of Syed Abdul Rahim, a football coach who revolutionized the sport in India from 1952 to 1962. Rahim’s determination and vision led India to earn two gold medals in the Asian Games and become the first Asian football team to qualify for the semi-finals of the Olympics in 1956.

On the same day, Netflix will release “The Hijacking of Flight 601,” a thriller series based on true events that occurred during the longest aerial hijacking in Latin American history on May 30, 1973. The series follows two armed revolutionaries who hijack Flight 601 and threaten to blow it up unless their demands are met, putting the lives of the hostages at risk.

Amazon Prime Video will premiere “Fallout” on April 11, a post-apocalyptic drama series based on the popular video game. The show explores a retro-futuristic society after a nuclear exchange and follows a young woman as she ventures out into the brutal wasteland of a devastated Los Angeles.

Lastly, Apple TV+ will debut “Franklin” on April 12, a biographical drama miniseries about founding father Benjamin Franklin. Starring Michael Douglas, the series follows Franklin’s secret mission to France during a crucial time in American history. With a lineup of exciting releases, viewers are in for a treat this April.
