Irving native and professional lacrosse player Zed Williams is making headlines for stepping onto the football field at the Buffalo Bills’ rookie minicamp. Williams, known for his impressive lacrosse career, including winning championships and MVP awards, is now trying out for a spot on the Bills’ roster.

Williams, a Silver Creek Central School graduate, has always been a standout athlete, setting records in lacrosse and showcasing his talent in multiple sports. Despite his success in lacrosse, Williams is now pursuing a childhood dream of playing football at the professional level.

Listed as a tight end but also an option at linebacker, Williams is proving his versatility and athleticism on the field. Standing at 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighing 230 pounds, Williams looks physically prepared for the challenge of transitioning to football.

Joining Williams at the minicamp is fellow local product Joe Andreessen, a linebacker from Depew, and kicker Alex McNulty from Caledonia, both looking to make their mark with the Bills.

As rookie minicamp in Orchard Park wraps up, all eyes are on Williams and his fellow tryout players as they strive to impress the coaching staff and earn a spot on the Buffalo Bills’ roster. Stay tuned for updates on Williams’ journey from the lacrosse field to the football field.
