The Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) in Zimbabwe, formerly led by Nelson Chamisa, has announced the formation of a shadow Cabinet to hold the Zanu PF government led by President Emmerson Mnangagwa accountable and promote alternative policies. The shadow Cabinet comprises 16 shadow ministers and their deputies.
According to a statement by the CCC, the shadow Cabinet’s key responsibilities include scrutinizing government policies, developing alternative ideas, serving as spokespeople for the party, participating in parliamentary debates, and communicating the party’s message to the public.

– Women’s Affairs, Community, Small & Medium Enterprise Development – Ellen Shiriyedenga
– Local Government, National Housing and Public Works & Social Amenities – Prifadza Makumire
– Mines, Energy & Power Development – Leslie Mhangwa
– Education, Youth, Sport & Recreation – Hon Takuzwa
– Labour, Manpower Development, Public Services & Social Welfare – Sithabisiwe Moyo
– ICT & Courier Services and Media & Broadcasting Services – Darlington Chigumbu
– Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, Water & Rural Development – Brian James

Deputies have also been appointed for various portfolios to support the shadow ministers in their roles. The formation of the shadow Cabinet signals the CCC’s commitment to providing alternative leadership and policies in Zimbabwe’s political landscape.
